Hello fabulous!
I hope February treated you amazingly. I can't believe it's just about March - where are you going 2016?! #holdyourhorses
This week on Fashion Avenue, I thought I'd show you how you can wear a simple white dress shirt 5 ways - yes, 5! I know, I'm a wizard. Some of these are so simple, others take a bit of patience to perfect. A white shirt is SO versatile and is a wardrobe staple you should have. If you don't have one, you need to get on it! It can literally be worn for a variety of occassions, is super easy and looks fresh. The only annoying thing is the ironing #amIright?!

From wearing it with a skirt to wearing it as a skirt, you'll find 5 totally chic ways to rock a white shirt (You could totally rap that sentence). So hop to it and give it a go!

Let me know if you try any of these or post a photo to Instagram and tag me @amberlowther

For all outfit details and how you can get a similar look, check out the details below!

This is pretty straight-forward and is perfect for those occasions where the dress code is 'smart casual'. I wore a lace bodysuit underneath to make it a bit more sexy. For the day, add sunglasses and a fabulous watch. Tuck in the shirt to your skirt for a flawless silhouette.

Reach for your favourite denim cut-off's and a crisp white shirt to look sexy but still put together. Wear with cute white sandals or add a statement heel like I did. This is probably my favourite way to wear it as it's girly and doesn't require much effort.

Who said you had to wear a shirt as a shirt?! Well, probably most people but you are not just anyone! Align the buttons and do them up around your waist. Grab the arms of the shirt and tie them in the front. If you want to have a cute split like I did, have one button higher than the other. The only thing to be careful of is potential see-through depending on the shirt. Always double check before you leave the house! Unless you're into that type of thing..

For those days where it's a little bit chilly, reach for your jeans. Instead of just adding the white shirt, leave a few buttons undone at the bottom and tie the front into a knot. This is great for a more relaxed look.

Definitely the most challenging of the 5, this one can be done with a bit of patience. I folded the collar down into the back of the shirt. I then buttoned the shirt and left my arms out of the equation. After buttoning, I tied the arms into a bow at the back. This was really successsful for me. All you need is a great white shirt and a bit of time.

Hey hey!
So, a couple of weeks ago I got my teeth whitened for the first time. It's something I've been wanting to do for a few years but never got around to actually doing it. Not to mention being overwhelmed with different places trying to offer the best bang for your buck! I gave up and hoped it would sort itself out. Lucky enough, it did! I was more than happy to try out Puresmile, a natural cosmetic teeth whitening company with kiosks in select shopping centres between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. I was going to experience their 'Signature' treatment.

In Brisbane, you can find Puresmile at Westfield Garden City on level 1 and not too far from H&M.
So off I went! I was greeted by a lovely girl who worked there and was given a little pod to sit in. Thank goodness it wasn't facing the public because I did NOT look pretty in the process! She explained the procedure to me and was able to identify the colour of my teeth on a scale and the colour we were to aim for. I was above average (I'd hope so considering I brush day and night and like to think I take good care of my chompers!) and she aimed to get my teeth 8-10 shades whiter.

I was given what looked like a sponge on a stick to clean my teeth with for 30 seconds. It foamed up in my mouth and was just your general minty flavour. After that, I was given this weird plastic instrument that I had to put on either side of my mouth to ensure my lips and gums were away from my teeth. I looked SO funny, I started laughing so hard I was teary. I felt sorry for the girl helping me because I was in hysterics! It's quite the look.

After I finally calmed down and was able to control myself when looking into a mirror, I was given a syringe with gel inside that I had to squeeze onto the 8 front teeth on the top and bottom. While they say to be careful about getting it on your gums, I made sure I went right up to the gum line so there wouldn't be any harsh lines after the procedure. While Puresmile says their services are peroxide-free, I was informed that the treatment I was getting did include peroxide. I was a little worried but then it was explained that the amount used was no way damaging to my teeth. So that was a relief!

I was then given a pair of fabulous red safety glasses as the LED lamp was about to activate the process. The Signature treatment meant that I was to do this process 3 times and have the LED Lamp on for a timed 20 minutes. Within the first 5 minutes of my first treatment, I had a coughing fit because I hadn't quite worked out how to swallow my saliva. It was so gross but kinda hilarious! So that added more time because I had to redo the gel application and start over. Thankfully, I mastered the art of controlling my saliva and soldiered on!

They were very accommodating and gave me a pair of headphones so I could listen to music on my phone while waiting under the LED lamp. After the 3 treatments were over, one last treatment was done. I was given a mouth guard that I had to bite into so my top and bottom teeth were covered in the gel inside. I then had to have another 15 minutes under the LED lamp. After the whole procedure, my teeth were visibly whiter and I was quite impressed. Although the goal was to go 8-10 shades lighter, unfortunately I only went 7-8 shades whiter.

Overall, I am impressed with the results I achieved from Puresmile and would recommend trying it out! As long as I take care of my teeth and stay away from coloured food and beverages, my teeth whitening should last 6-9 months. Teeth whitening is something I've been wanting to do for quite some time and I was happy with the service I received from Puresmile.

Hello fabulous!
In the spirit of Valentine's Day creeping up, I thought I would do a post for the ladies that will be out and about over the weekend. You don't have to be going on a date to rock a sexy outfit! Heck, you might be hitting the town with your single gal pals! Whatever you'll be doing, you can get in the spirit with a cute outfit that will turn heads - date or no date.
Without going over the top, you can still look sassy as hell with a trendy outfit to take you through the night.

Personally, I would steer away from shorts or pants and express everything girly. While a cute dress is always a winner, this year I've decided to go with a split skirt and a multi-way top. A split skirt is still showing leg without showing it all. It flows beautifully in the wind without going all Marilyn Monroe. A multi-way top is perfect for just that - able to be worn multiple ways! You're able to tie it any way you're comfortable with and change it up for future occasions.

For Valentine's Day, I highly recommend wearing anything pink, white, red, black and gold. These are great staple colours to start with and are super easy to make up a complete outfit. You can go nuts with shoes, accessories and makeup!

See below how you can get a similar look!

Oh hey!
It's 2016 and I'm back to blogging - yaaay! I'm way too excited to get the ball rolling for this year.
I hope you all had a fab break and are enjoying your year so far.
I thought I'd start 2016 off with a beauty post for you to sink your teeth into!
So there's no doubt in my mind that I am obsessed with perfume. I CANNOT go out the door without it and if I accidentally do, I feel naked. It's just not ok.
Since I am so obsessed, I thought it was only natural for me to share a few perfumes that have my heart. Most importantly, I want you to know WHY they do and inspire you to join me on this journey of perfumery appreciation.

To me, buying luxury perfumes doesn't phase me. I am more than happy to spend a bit more money on a delicious perfume. Don't get me wrong - I have so many cheaper perfumes that I adore. I think that I would prefer to spend more on a great perfume which can be kept for a while rather than a top that's only in fashion for a few months. Let's be real, being told you smell amazing is a confidence booster!

Scroll down to see why these perfumes are worth the hype and the investment.

Candy - Prada (Eau de Parfum $95 - $160)
This perfume is sweet and sexy. It is also quite strong but very feminine. I have generally turned to this perfume in the evening but it can definitely be worn during the day too. I absolutely adore this perfume and its scent is good enough to eat. If you usually opt for deeper scents, try this for a sugary addition to your fragrance collection!

Chance - Chanel (Eau de Toilette $130 - $184)
I find this scent so sophisticated and beautiful. The best way to describe how it smells is it's very floral. I find this is a fragrance for special occasions just because it's so unique. I reach for it on my birthday and significant events - yep, it's that high in my books. I love it so much that I reserve it for special occasions only. It has the most interesting group of scents and I can't get enough of it!

Si - Giorgio Armani (Eau de Parfum $99 - $190)
I don't even know where to start with this perfume. I AM IN LOVE! This is my current favourite and it's the most amazing scent I think I have ever had the pleasure of inhaling. It's sexy, it's chic, it's bloody enchanting! I'm almost choking up thinking about the joy this brings to my life, haha. Seriously, if you need to add ANY of these perfumes to your collection, it's this. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to attend our marital ceremony..

Honourable mention: Black Opium - Yves Saint Laurent
I actually haven't purchased this YET but I love it so much. I was walking through Myer one day and smelt something incredible. I followed the scent to Black Opium at the YSL counter! I will fulfill my dream of having this in my hot little hands one day. Stay tuned for that!
