Happy Spring Racing!
This weekend is Derby Day, which is all about monochrome. Leave your colours for Melbourne Cup an embrace sophistication for this race day! I can't believe we're already at the Spring Racing Carnival. Where has time gone?! I swear last Melbourne Cup was just last week.

In my usual Amber style, I decided to go black-on-black. I couldn't have thought of a better match, especially when heading for this particular day. I've always been into showing off the back and this dress does just that! It's sophisicated, sexy, practical and hugs all the right places. I don't feel like I'm walking like a robot, which is also a bonus. It's time to place your bets, ladies!

Hello fabulous!
This post is quite exciting and not just because it has a different background (yay!) but also because I shot it when I was down in Melbourne last weekend. I managed to squeeze in a shoot and some meetings which was great!  It was so nice to get away for a few days and explore a different city. I love Melbourne and enjoyed being able to do my own thing and embrace the tram system (Brisbane, ya'll need this)!

For this outfit, I wanted something that was simple and could be worn during the day and at night. Being a girl on the run, practicality and simplicity is key to getting out the door in time! Neutral and monochromatic tones are your best bet for getting it right every time and your wardrobe will love you for it. You could be going for brunch, having a meeting at work, having cocktails with the girls or going on a date night - the options are endless.

We can be so caught up in our everyday lives and routine that we forget to put effort in to our outfits. It's always beneficial to put your best foot forward and have an amazing outfit you can whip out when you can't find anything to wear!

Take a leaf out of my extensive book of leaves and embrace everyday glam!

Good day readers - don't ask me why I said that!
Today I have a very simple outfit to present to you. Over the weekend I emerged from my dark room and left my Netflix to chill by itself while I went to the movies.

I took my dear Mother to see The Intern, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. I had my eye on this movie for quite some time after seeing a preview of it a couple of months ago. Finally the day came where I got to perch my little self down and stuff my face with popcorn - the best kind of day!

For those of you who haven't yet heard of this film, it's about a young #bosslady (Anne Hathaway) who founded an amazingly successful fashion e-commerce site. She's a workaholic and isn't aware that a senior internship program had started at her company. A 70-year-old man (Robert De Niro) is assigned to be her personal intern, much to her dismay. He's looking for something to fill a void in his life so he's not sitting around in retirement left with nothing to do. It's an amazing film which touches your heart.
I won't spoil the rest so you will have to go see it yourself!

I LOVED The Intern. It was funny but also very heart-warming. Robert De Niro melted my heart in this - he was so wonderful and played an amazing part.

Why hello hello hellooo!
Surprise! I'm wearing black! Totally joking, what else would I be wearing? ;)
I'm not doing this on purpose, I swear. I can't help that I'm drawn to dark clothing! I bought this bodysuit on sale a couple of months ago (bargaaain) and thought I'd whip it out for the first time and give it a proper test-run.

This style is super cute and I love the way it looks, fits and feels. When you find something amazing, you just have to go for it. In regards to fashion, that means you should purchase it. Or do what I do - walk away and if you can't stop thinking about it, it means it's meant to be.
Wow, I should write romance novels - move over 50 Shades!

So that was a bit of a tangent, but hopefully you're picking up what I'm putting down..
I'm just really proud of this purchase and I now consider myself a majestic bargain hunter (because putting the word majestic in front of anything makes it sound better).

I encourage you to put on your majestic hat and file through the sale racks - you may just find a little jem like I did!
