Hey Readers!
I was super excited to go along to see Wicked at QPAC last night and I left feeling completely blown away. Wicked has always been on my "To See List" as I've heard so many positive things.
I wasn't 100% sure what the story was going to be like and how it would fit in to the Wizard of Oz but it was executed beautifully and is a exciting and twisted journey way before good ol' Dorothy came along with her magic ruby slippers!

I got goosebumps from the amazing vocals, the costumes were gorgeous and the performers of all kinds were very talented and in-sync. A special mention to Jemma Rix who played Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) and Suzie Mathers (Glinda). Their performances were outstanding. Glinda made me laugh the whole show! I loved her little squeals and mannerisms.

I'm not sure about you, but I get way too emotionally invested in shows and movies. I walked out of the show feeling like the Wicked Witch of the West was totally misunderstood and how dare I have thought any different. Want to know why? Well you're going to have to see it for yourself. This is a spoiler-free zone!

Scroll down to see what I wore for my Sunday afternoon Wicked experience!

Hey Readers!
Fashion Avenue is underway for 2015 and I thought it'd be an appropriate and perfect time to introduce a new element to the! If you know me, you'd be aware of my extensive makeup collection and how much I love buying and trying new products. With my usual fashion posts being the heart of Fashion Avenue, I think adding beauty to my blog will be exciting and hopefully somewhat informative for you as well.

To kick things off, I've tried and tested some products from Carmex. You see, I've always been a fan of Carmex. I quite enjoyed their lip balm in jar form at a young age. A couple of years ago one of my handbag staples was a Moisture Plus Lip Balm. Thankfully, I now have enough to stock up in my beauty bag, handbag and every other bag known to mankind.

Lip balms are a staple product for any makeup user. Carmex lip balms not only moisturise, but they relieve chapped and dry lips. I don't know about you, but when Winter rolls around my lips are not having a great time. The first thing I do before I start my makeup is apply a lip balm. Being a lover of lipsticks, this preps and moisturises my lips for when I later apply my lipsticks. On the days I don't feel like making that much of an effort, I'll simply top up my lip balm and be out the door in seconds (or maybe minutes..let's be honest, I'm not superhuman). For Winter, my favourites would be the classic jar and the gel. I feel these are a bit more suitable for Winter when you're really wanting to soothe and relieve your lips.

If I have to be bias, for Summer I quite enjoy the click stick as it's SPF 15, isn't messy and is small enough to chuck in your purse. This is best for using by the pool, at the beach or any outdoor activities.

My favourite lip balms from the range are definitely the Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm's. The sheer tints add just enough colour to pull any look together while also hydrating your lips, protecting them from the sun and also being an easy-to-apply product with their slant tip.

The Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm's come in Clear, Peach and Pink.

While the classic Carmex tingle takes some getting used to, these products are my lip saviours all year 'round.
