Hey Readers!
My outfit for this post is circulated around my top that has pops of pink, orange and green. It's in a lightweight fabric, which for me, ensures that it is comfortable and easy to wear.
In order for it to stand out and get the attention it deserves, I styled it with a all-black palette.
As of late, I've been less shy with wearing colour. I've been embracing prints and have been really stepping out of my black-on-black uniform. Baby steps, people!

Alongside prints, leather has been another love of mine. I've been wearing this cap without hesitation. Any excuse that I can wear it, I will. I think the leather cap is here to stay for a bit longer, yay!

I also paired this with strappy sandals and my Celine look-alike handbag.

Hey Readers!
This post is all about my amazing Geo print jumpsuit!
The day I saw this, I tried it on but thought I wouldn't get it, although my friends said it "suited me", which made it harder. I just couldn't justify spending the money at the time. Although, I probably could. That's what all my spontaneous shopping sprees contain. So before I had a SSS, I thought twice.
"If it's meant to be, it will be" - I 100% believe that quote can be said about clothes.
So I went about my life, as you do. Then on Boxing Day while I was shopping my little heart out, I spotted this baby in the SALE rack! So I ripped it off (gently, may I add!) and was like, "YEP! I'm getting this!"
To which my friend replied with, "good one gurl". She was there when I gave it up the first time.
It was heartbreaking for all of us.

But alas, I bought it and now I am here with a post to show it off.
What I love about this is that it can be dressed up or down and is transeasonal. I will definitely be wearing this in Winter, paired with a blazer and cute boots.

This geo print is one that I see everywhere. I love abstract prints. This jumpsuit combines this print and monochromatic shades.
The V-neck is also a feature that I love. It adds femininity and breaks up the print. The draped wrap front adds a bit of sexiness as well. The light fabric also makes it a Spring/Summer staple.

All in all, I am so happy with this purchase. When it comes down to it, it's completely justifiable.
Well, in my eyes anyway! ;)

All of my outfit details will be at the bottom of this post.

Hey Readers!
...or should I say single friends?
As you guessed from the title, this post is my personal take on how to be single on Valentines Day.
You must be thinking, 'What sort of person has enough time on their hands to write a post on this?'
Well I'll tell you the answer to that one! A single person. Me. I'm a single person. I have enough time on my hands BECAUSE I'M A SINGLE PERSON. I think you get what I'm trying to say here.

Enough of that.

What inspired me to write a post like this you may ask? Well as we have just established that I am in fact, single, I'm also sick of the bitterness that is associated with being alone on Valentines Day.
You see, these past few weeks I have been walking past $600 teddy bears, signs that say "Diamonds For The One You Love" and copious amounts of cute gift wrap and cards that state "10 reasons why you're the best girlfriend". Ugh. This leads me to yell "stuff this!" and "FML" and almost immediately feel crappy.

These harsh reminders prove that Valentines Day is just around the corner and although this isn't the first time I've spent it alone, I've decided to actually stop the negative thoughts this year...starting from now.

Instead of watching Love Actually with a box of tissues and a 1L tub of Neapolitan ice-cream, I've decided that I'm going to focus on having the best day dedicated to my one and only..myself.
Before you think I'm crazy and press the X in the right hand corner, read on because you may feel liberated after reading this. Or you won't and if you don't, I'm terribly sorry and hope you have a good day anyway.

I know what you're thinking, "easier said than done". That's true. However, moping around the house in your pj's isn't going to make you feel better. Nor will be scrolling through your Facebook News Feed and watching all of your friends get spoilt.

My best friends are happily taken. I like to have the mindset that they're saving the best until last. Which is absolutely ridiculous and totally untrue, but it eases the pain.

It's important to focus on yourself and improve the person you are. You have to love yourself before you can love another.

If you're independent and picky like me, you will know what you want and deserve. One day isn't going to shy you away from that.

I think what's best for a single person to do is to make plans for this day. I'm set on having a great day.

This Valentine's Day I'm going to:
1. Buy myself flowers. I love flowers. Roses are my favourite.
2. Have a bath with a rose-scented bath bomb. Heaven is calling.
3. Watch movies in bed, comedies are great at a time like this.
4. I will most likely buy pizza.
5. I will dance around with no pants on to 'Single Ladies'.

Have the "I don't need a man" outlook and this day will be wonderful.

Some quotes to get you by:

"The right man will love all the things about you that the wrong man was intimidated by"

"I like my lovers selfish. Do you know how sexy it is when someone only wants you?"

It's so important to remember, if a guy wants you in his life, he will make sure you are. If he wants to be around you, there is nothing that could stop him. He will text you, he will call you. If he's the right one, you won't have to be constantly reminding him that you still exist. There is someone out there who has been waiting all their life for you, and I guarantee you that once he has you, he won't ever let you go.

Happy Valentine's Day!

 Hey Readers!
Ha, I bet I got you with the title!
No, I don't have a boyfriend. The closest thing I have to one is my boyfriend JEANS that are featured in this post.

I love distressed denim and anything that doesn't look necessarily "proper". So not lady-like of me at all. I like a bit of edge, that's why I invested in these babies!
I paired the jeans with a monochrome striped top. This top has a cheeky cut along the sides, which I like! Get your chicken fillets out, ladies! I sure had to.
Too much information? Probably. Do I care? Nope.

What other way to top of this look than with my favourite new heels? I would sleep in these shoes if only I didn't have white sheets. They make me feel so good. If you haven't seen the post on my shoes, click HERE.

Hey Readers!
For this post I thought I would do something a bit different. Being a Gemini, I'm curious and try to take on multiple things. This makes my mind go crazy, as I want a taste of everything.
If you're new to my blog or don't already know, I'm a Journalism and Fashion student and I see my blog as the "training wheels" if you will, for my career.

There's so many things I want to write about, so I thought I'd start here.
Four things that I am that I want to help other people with is being motivated, positive, ambitious and confident. I find that a lot of people, especially the young, are often feeling a bit lost or uneasy when it comes to making life-changing decisions (who doesn't?!). Decisions like what career you're after, how to feel good about yourself and how to stay positive when things become a little bit difficult.

I'm not perfect, not even close. I worry a lot about things, over-think and have my days where I don't know how things will pan out. But I can take any situation and turn it into a positive.
I'm not a life coach or a careers counsellor. But I know the fundamentals of how to achieve the best outcome of something.

This is my secret to being so happy. It's my life mantra. Having a positive mind, to me, is the strongest trait. Even the worst situations can be turned into something worth smiling about. You are in control of how you feel, always. Be a strong person and train your mind to see positives in everything.
It takes time and lots of practice, but you will feel 100% better than you did before.

I think where a lot of people go wrong is the pressure that high school puts you under to get into Uni straight away. So many people I know have chosen a course just because it was convenient and they "didn't know what else to do". This is because they don't know what it is they're passionate about.
I was lucky in this circumstance as I knew I wanted to be a journalist when I was 15. A choice that has stuck with me since.
Find what you love. No matter how long that takes. If you are brave enough to try different things, then maybe, just maybe you will stumble upon something that will make you excited.
You need to find something that will make you feel like the happiest person when you wake up.
It's the best feeling in the world, trust me.

How are you supposed to learn, discover and be happy when you can't even try something new?
I was in year 12 when I started Fashion Avenue. All I knew was that I wanted to write about fashion. Was I going to wait 3-4 more years and have a degree to do that? No. I started instantly. Don't restrain yourself from giving something a go. You never know how much success it could bring you.
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.

It's hard to want to be yourself when you see all of these fitspo images on Instagram. Doesn't it make you want to put down that donut and work out?
But then when you cut out all of your fatty meals, you kind of..miss it? (I sure do, I crave donuts everyday! Lord help me) You feel like you're not being yourself so you decide to have small portions instead.
What I'm trying to say is, you have to be yourself if you want to be happy. If you cry your eyes out every time you watch 'A Walk To Remember', that's fine. If you colour-coordinate your wardrobe and go into a state of panic if one piece of clothing is out of place, that's fine. You probably have chronic OCD, but that's fine.
Be that weird, funny person you are, because no one is better at being you than...YOU :)

Something to think about:

It's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it.
Stay positive!
