SUIT UP

Hello, hello!
You know what I love? A good suit. I can't say I've owned one but I do appreciate them. They're even better when they look girly and powerful, which is why I have shared this one with you today!
You see, I am constantly on the lookout for styles that are unlike anything I already own, so receiving this in the mail was perfect.

this playsuit has a large trench collar, a deep V neckline and a large button detail at the front. I really love the split sleeves, which is one of the reasons I HAD to get this playsuit!
I ended up wearing a black bodice underneath - I love the look of it and I wanted to show how you can style it to make it more appropriate for more corporate occasions. Although, I will love wearing it without, as it's definitely made to be sexy!

You can see how I styled it and where I got it from below.

TWEED

Hey sugarplum,
How ARE you? I hope you had a fabulous weekend and you're enjoying your week so far!
You know what makes life easier? Knowing what you're wearing in advance. I know, I know, that's quite the mission. I often find myself reaching from the depths of my wardrobe at 6am hoping for the best. But, what's even better is having a range of great, versatile, simple outfits that you can chuck on when you really don't know what the f you're gonna wear.

Enter: This amazing tweed playsuit that I'm in love with and I hope you're in love with too. I've never owned something tweed before. I feel like a member of the Royal Family, tbh.
I quickly realised that tweed is my friend and we both like each other, so I couldn't help showing you this piece! This playsuit has GORG bell sleeves, a high split at the back and it has light fray detailing on the hems.

This piece is definitely one of those outfits that will take you from A to B (and probably C, D & E) with ease. Wear it with thigh-high boots for winter, pair it with heels for a night out, wear it to brunch with your gf's, wear it on a date - the options are endless. Plus, it keeps you warm when the wind is getting the better of you AND you just hop it, zip it up and do up the buttons on the back, EASY.

CROPPED

Hello, lovelies!
I hope you've been having a great August so far! I've been quite the busy bee with work and everything in between. It's so good to be busy, I kinda live for it.
For those of you who don't know what the heck I actually do for a living, I'm a journalist!
My blog is very different to write on because I am more myself and can do whatever I want - within reason. While you may think blogging and being a journalist is exactly the same, they're actually quite different! You'd be surprised!

Anyway, the reason I'm here is to bring another outfit post to yo' life. I've been really getting into activewear recently. There are so many cool styles and brands out there and I've really been loving it.
One place I highly recommend to go if you're looking for activewear at a discounted price is Harbour Town Outlet Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast.

They have plenty of stores for you to browse through and, you are bound to find an absolute bargain!
I was really loving their Puma store. I found some really cool pieces, including the crop below. I love the gold puma on it, it just looks super cool and I just love gold anything!
Since it's starting to get super hot here in Brisbane already, I am loving crops and bike pants. This means I'm keeping semi-cool while breaking a sweat under this Queensland sun!

PHANTOM

Hello, again!
This post is all about saying good-bye to winter and an early hello to spring. You see, I hate the cold more than anything in this world - it's true. But, I have to admit, I do like the fashion and the fact I can rug up in my bunny jumper without breaking into a pool of sweat.
But in saying that, nothing beats beach weather, cute little dresses and strappy high heels.

So, consider this my final winter outfit for the year, as I am hanging up my boots (quite literally) and slowly transitioning into clothes that make me want to sing Summer Nights from Grease.
Since this is my good-bye to all things warm, I thought it might as well be a decent one.

I visited Harbour Town recently and went a bit crazy while I was there.  I saw this leather jacket and skirt and instantly thought of a cute af combo (sounds a bit like a Hungry Jacks meal). Funnily enough, I haven't owned a black faux-leather jacket in quite a few years. It's been something I've been wanting to get but just haven't gotten around to it, nor have I found one I really loved.
That was until I saw this one hanging beautifully on the rack and I grabbed it with both hands and haven't let go (yeah, I sleep with it. It's a serious relationship now).
This skirt was hanging below it and I loved the wrap detailing - I had to have it. I know this will take me through to spring as well and it will look super cute with heels!

On the same day, I came across these sexy thigh-high boots and my jaw dropped. They were exactly what I've been looking for and once again, I couldn't contain my excitement and ended up purchasing them within seconds. These also look amazing with jeans!

So, there you have it. My farewell to all things winter and a wink to spring, which I can see just around the corner!

BACK TO BASICS

Why hello there!
It's been a little while since I've updated the good ol' blog. I am back on the bandwagon after having some massive changes happen to my routine and general life. I've decided to pick up from where I left off and jump straight back into it!

So, this post is all about having that flashback to the 90s, where everyone was wearing those old school t-shirts. Whether they're branded across the front or, if they were just classic band tee's, pretty much EVERY person had one. Since the rise of the vintage Gucci t-shirt, brands have come out of the woodwork to do the exact same - bring.them.back!

A couple of weeks ago I went on a shopping day to Harbour Town on the Gold Coast. For those of you who aren't familiar with Harbour Town (why aren't you?!), it's an outlet shopping centre stocking a variety of amazing brands at bargain prices. Which means it's heaven on earth for those avid shoppers out there!

My first stop of the day was at their Levi's store and I couldn't walk away from this plain t-shirt I found. I just saw it as one of those staple pieces that can be pared back with just about anything and can be worn just about anywhere. While you may think it's just a boring old tee, to me it's magic - so take that!
