LIQUORICE

Happy Monday, lovers!
Sometimes when you think of monochrome outfits, they can kinda come off a bit boring. Plain black and white doesn't seem to have too much room to be creative, right? Well that's wrong! No matter what tones you're incorporating into your outfits, there's always room for creativity and contrast!
When it comes down to adding an extra spark into your style, accessories always help complement and complete your outfit. If you've been reading my blog for a long time, you'll know that I love lots of black and embrace dark hues more often than colour.
There's no reason why - I think I'm drawn to basics and darker hues because they go with absolutely EVERYTHING! It's always easy to throw on and accessorise with, no matter what the occasion is.
I look for practicality and simplicity more often that not, I'll be honest.

When it comes to adding monochromatic pieces into your wardrobe, it's great to have your plain black t-shirts and whites to get you through day-to-day. But what if you could have both in a more vibrant and eye-catching form? Win-win, right?!

This week I've found the perfect winter top that's eye-catching and will totally change the way you do 'simple'. This striped number caught my eye because it's perfect for the cooler months, has an eye-catching design and is an exclusive top from locally based online store, Beginning Boutique. It's thicker than most of my long-sleeved tops and has definitely kept me warm every time I've worn it.

To spice it up a bit, I added my new favourite cat-eye sunglasses and sexy lace-up heels!

Check out below how I went about adding flavour to a simple colour palette. You can also get a similar look yourself from the shop widget at the bottom of the post.

Enjoy!
