SORBET

Happy Monday!
This week I've incorporated a bit of a spring vibe. Maybe it's because I'm constantly complaining about winter and can't wait for it to be over. I decided to hang up my chunky knits and jeans and embrace my spring wardrobe a little early. You know those days that feel a little warmer and you can barely contain your excitement because it means soon you'll be able to see your legs again? Well, shooting this was one of those days. Brisbane really turned it on for this post and fit the look perfectly - thank you, sun!

This dress is from up-and-coming online store, 30 Dresses. The concept for this store is so good as every 30 days there are 30 new dress for $30! What more could you want?! They have a variety of styles available to suit every occasion - the office, casual and for going out. I couldn't look past this baby blue number. This colour is gorgeous, the style is sophisticated and the style is unique!
Paired with my baby pink heels, this is one outfit I am going to be obsessed with for special occasions in spring!

See how I styled it and get a similar look below!

FAIRY FLOSS

Happy Mondaaay!
Let me just start by saying BRRR, it has been freezing lately which is totally not ok. But it's been nice to rug up with a hot chocolate, watch Netflix and then when I bother to emerge from such greatness, wearing fabulous knitwear out hasn't been too shabby either. On one of those days, I decided to venture outside and do these photos for you. I know, so dedicated. It was THE windiest day and definitely not the best day to wear a hat, but I went with it. You'll see evidence of my struggles in the last photo - ridic.

I'm an advocate for baby pink - my year 12 formal dress was, my favourite lipstick ever is, I'm currently wearing baby pink writing this. The list goes on really. But when paired with white, it looks so fresh and well, I kinda look like fairy floss. Or a strawberry ice-cream from the Ekka...too far? Ok.
It was such an amazing afternoon shooting this -the clouds looked like fairy floss too! Win-win.

This outfit is perfect for an event like the races - so you're super warm all day while still embracing trends. For a casual look, add white jeans and flats.

FACIAL CO: REVIEW & EXPERIENCE

Hey Readers!
For my beauty post this week, I'm focusing on the amazing experience I had at the Facial Co in Keperra, in Brisbane's north side.
I was able to be booked in for a full body massage and facial last week and though I'd never had a facial before, I was super excited to experience it and see what all the fuss was about.

I could go into my experience straight off the bat, but there is something that stood out to me more than anything. That was the service. The service I had was great, the girls were super friendly and I felt totally pampered and genuinely cared for - which is something you definitely want when going to get beauty treatments.

The store was stocked full of the best skincare and beauty brands. Such as Dermalogica, Napoleon Perdis, Skinstitut, Alpha-H and many more. Which you can purchase in store or online, as Facial Co have their own website to shop your favourite skincare and beauty brands. Also, with every order I was informed you get given free samples that are carefully tailored to your order, so you won't get random products you wouldn't try!

My massage was heavenly and the facial was so soothing. I was slipping into sleep during my treatments thanks to Melissa, my wonderful beauty therapist who left me feeling so relaxed and ultimately pampered. After my treatment, The lovely Melissa and Jennifer helped me find products that suited my skin and areas that I needed to pay more attention to. Expect product reviews in the next couple of months!

I highly recommend Facial Co and I will definitely be going back!
Thank you so much to the team for having me for a couple of hours, it was a perfect treat!

INTIMATE

Happy Monday!
This week is all about intimates and why it's important to have a few different pieces in your lingerie drawer. I was never really one for lingerie until a couple of years ago. I was attracted by how beautiful the pieces were and with the right fit, it not only made me feel great, but it looked great too.
But hey, lingerie isn't just for what you may think. Lingerie can be an amazing addition under clothing and can peek out with the right styling and accessorising! It looks HOT under a white button-up or peering out of a t-shirt. Get creative, it's more fun that way!

One of the biggest mantras I go by with lingerie is "Buy it for YOURSELF". There's nothing better than buying something sexy for yourself just because. I'm a single gal, but that doesn't stop me from rolling around feeling #fabulous in the cutest bras.
So go find your perfect fit and start rolling with me!

LIQUORICE

Happy Monday, lovers!
Sometimes when you think of monochrome outfits, they can kinda come off a bit boring. Plain black and white doesn't seem to have too much room to be creative, right? Well that's wrong! No matter what tones you're incorporating into your outfits, there's always room for creativity and contrast!
When it comes down to adding an extra spark into your style, accessories always help complement and complete your outfit. If you've been reading my blog for a long time, you'll know that I love lots of black and embrace dark hues more often than colour.
There's no reason why - I think I'm drawn to basics and darker hues because they go with absolutely EVERYTHING! It's always easy to throw on and accessorise with, no matter what the occasion is.
I look for practicality and simplicity more often that not, I'll be honest.

When it comes to adding monochromatic pieces into your wardrobe, it's great to have your plain black t-shirts and whites to get you through day-to-day. But what if you could have both in a more vibrant and eye-catching form? Win-win, right?!

This week I've found the perfect winter top that's eye-catching and will totally change the way you do 'simple'. This striped number caught my eye because it's perfect for the cooler months, has an eye-catching design and is an exclusive top from locally based online store, Beginning Boutique. It's thicker than most of my long-sleeved tops and has definitely kept me warm every time I've worn it.

To spice it up a bit, I added my new favourite cat-eye sunglasses and sexy lace-up heels!

Check out below how I went about adding flavour to a simple colour palette. You can also get a similar look yourself from the shop widget at the bottom of the post.

Enjoy!
