FRINGE

Hey Readers!
Fringe is back (yay!) and it's hot for this season. For me personally, I like fringe in skirts, bags and boots. Anything else might be going a bit too far for my liking. But it gives off a 'boho' vibe (which I love) and lets be honest, it just looks really cool.
I kept my outfit pretty simple but added a pop of colour to make it a bit more interesting. I particularly like this skirt because it's so fun! If you're like me and love a dance, then this is perfect. Also, it's just cool when the wind swings by - and not in the Marilyn Monroe way when you're skirt flies up. That once happened to me as at a pedestrian crossing and it was not a great time.

Apart from the skirt and shoes, I love my new sunglasses! I bought them on my recent trip to Melbourne. At first I was unsure because they were completely out of my comfort zone but my friend pushed me into making the purchase. One which I am very happy about! I feel like a really chic cat..is that weird?

Don't be shy to connect with me on my social media channels (you can see them on the right!) and let me know how you style your fringed garments and accessories.

Enjoy!

AUSTRALIS CONTOURING & HIGHLIGHTING KIT: REVIEW

Hey Readers!
One of the best makeup tricks I know is contouring and highlighting. It adds dimension and brightens your overall appearance, not to mention it's a handy trick to get those chiseled cheekbones we all lust over.
What's even better is when you have a kit that has 2 in 1. It's best for travel purposes, it's practical and totally worth it if you can get your hands on a good quality kit! Without spending more than $20, you can get your hands on the Australis Contouring & Highlighting Kit. This comes with 6 shades to get you looking fabulous and flawless and will help you master the technique.

My experience has been great, to say the least. With a light hand I am able to apply my suited contour shade and am able to blend it easily creating a subtle definition to the natural curves of my face. For me, I generally use the middle contour shade as that works for my skin tone best. These shades are highly pigmented so a very minimal amount is required. Having highly pigmented shades, it will make sure you have this palette for a long time to come, as you'll be using the bare minimum!

My absolute favourite highlight shade is the yellow tone in the kit. This is absolutely PERFECT for highlighting underneath your eyes in that V shape, adding a highlight on the bridge of your nose, Cupid's bow and also using it underneath your contoured cheeks to make the line seamless and into a natural transition. This shade works wonders and airbrushes your face! You will be surprised how flawless your skin will look using this shade. For that subtle glow above the cheekbone, apply the shimmer shade or the matte cream shade and voila!

My two favourite makeup brushes to use to apply and blend are the Real Techniques Contour and Buffing brushes!

You can get your hands on these from the Australis website, Priceline, Big W and Kmart.

You can check out the kit below :)

Enjoy!

MICHAEL HILL: MY TOP 3 WATCHES

Hey Readers!
Watches are not only great for making sure you're on time for that brunch date or work in general, but they're also a great accessory and can complete any look.
Telling the time has never been so popular! Watches are a massive fashion trend and can save you whipping out your phone to check the time when you can look down at your conveniently-placed watch on your wrist.
Michael Hill have some amazing watches - whether it be rose gold, black, white or plain silver and gold and I've compiled my top 3 favourites from their collection to help you narrow down your choices for the perfect arm candy.

This watch is the best choice when channeling white-on-white. Simple and stylish, this is chic, a great size and is perfect for those who are looking for something simple and classic. This watch won't break the bank and is timeless (mind the pun). Not to mention, it comes in black too! Sleek and sophisticated, anyone?

Rose Gold tones are a massive hit in the fashion world and are a hit in the watch department! Rose Gold is fashion-forward, can be easily styled and is able to be complemented beautifully with other matching accessories! It's water resistant up to 50m and you can also check out the day and date (if you don't remember, like me!) If you're all about following the latest trends, then this watch is one not to look past.

Combine both white and rose gold with this glamorous watch! The crystals featured around the face of the watch add extra charm and femininity. It's pretty, great quality and will balance out any outfit. Wear it with your favourite Winter knit or add some bling to your Friday night drinks outfit. However you choose to style it, you'll be one step ahead in the watch game.

All watches can be purchased in Michael Hill stores or on their website.

GIRL ON THE RUN

Hey Readers!
This week's style post is really basic and gives off a laid-back vibe. I know some of you live lifestyles where you're always on the run and need something practical for all those errands! For me personally, I live quite a busy life. I am either at university, interning, working, going to events and producing content for you! In light of saying that, I don't always have the time to get dolled up and university isn't really the place to rock 6-inch heels. However, if that's your thing..work it girl!

My outfit this week exceeds comfort levels and is all about the girl on the run. Seeking practicality while still looking style-savvy and promoting the strongest #girlboss vibes (how crap is it that we live in a society where we feel the need to put 'girl' in front of powerful roles. It should just be #boss in my opinion!). Scratch that, lets just stay with #boss vibes.

I stopped by H&M at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre here in Brisbane to check it out and have a snoop at what's available. Having only opened last week, I needed to unleash my inner time-efficient shopping warrior and get out of there before I was crushed by crazed shoppers! Here I picked up the shorts featured below.

Jump on my bandwagon and channel the girl on the run!

AUSTRALIS VELOURLIPS: REVIEW & SWATCHES

Hey Readers!
When it comes to beauty products, not only am I a total addict but I have an obsession with lip products especially. Anything that can enhance my pout, add some colour and complete my outfit is a definite plus in my books. The one thing I look for in a lip product above anything else is the colour payoff. In order for me to be totally into a lipstick, stain or anything else that should boasts pigmentation it has to show up well and with ease. There's nothing worse than packing on layers of a lip product only to have a slight tinge to your lips.
In saying that, I've decided to post about some lip products that I do highly recommend as they provide wonderful pigmentation and are available in a variety of shades!

Behold, Australis Velourlips. These are matte lip creams that have high-intensity colour and are available at an affordable price.

If you're a lover of matte lip products then these will be your holy grail! For those of you who are a bit on the fence, these can be easily worn with a balm underneath or a gloss on top (but be careful, it can get messy!)

These can be purchased at Priceline, Big W, Kmart and ofcourse on the Australis website.

Check out the shades I've added to my lip collection below :)
Enjoy!

HOW TO: DRESS UP A PLAIN WHITE TEE

Hey Readers!
There's nothing better than chucking on a simple t-shirt, jeans and heels for a quick put-together look! There's something this outfit says that a simple skirt-sandal combo doesn't. This says sophistication in the most fashion-forward way.
I don't know about you, but when I'm scrolling through blogs I always love the simple outfits so much more. I guess that's because they're a bit more relatable and easier to achieve.

Whether you're into the skinny jean or a boyfriend jean (like I've gone for in this post), this look will work perfectly. You're able to go for a relaxed fit without looking daggy and are able to rock up to work, a lunch date or a job interview and not look out-of-place.

I decided to go for a fresh look by adding light tones. A light blue jean should be a staple in every woman's wardrobe. It's simple but is a kick-ass combo with a white t-shirt!
As for heels, don't go for anything too dramatic. Leave your clubbing shoes at home! I opted for baby pink points which compliments the light hues and isn't too much amongst my chosen colour palette.
Points not only look professional but they are so comfortable! Forget using any shoe inserts or filling your bag with band-aids, these are a dream to walk in.

Team your look with a sneaky bralette or corset (optional, and best to skip if you're about to pitch yourself for a job. Wear a white or nude bra. I'd hope you'd know that already!) and if your heels have a splash of colour, add that into your make up by making your lips pop! It's something I try to do whenever I get the chance. Simple make up, big lashes and bronzed cheekbones are the way to go to pull this look together and to look polished and effortless. Maybe even #flawless, anyone?

See how I styled this below for the ultimate laid-back outfit inspo - enjoy!
