If you read the title, you are probably thinking of Mean Girls right about now. I found the title of this post from a meme which is pictured below. This made me laugh. Not only because it's a rip off off Mean Girls, but because I actually relate to this. I know if I was forced to choose between a group with Regina George or Wednesday Addams, I'd probably go with Wednesday - providing that we wear black over pink.
Seeing as it is a Wednesday and I was inspired to do this post after finding the meme, I thought I would do an inspiration post all focusing on the colour black or if you really want to get accurate, the "shade".
I was researching what black is associated with upon making this post. It is associated with strong emotions, wanting to look slimmer and sophistication. I love black. I probably have more black in my wardrobe than the average 19 year old girl. I've been told by a few people that I need to wear more colour. I barely branch out from black, white, grey and navy.
I've come up with a few points to justify my black-wearing habit.
1. It goes with everything - which is a given.
2. I have blonde hair and it makes it stand out.
3. Refer to number's 1 and 2.
Okay, so I know that wasn't really justified well. Don't get me wrong - I love branching out and shocking those who think I only wear darker shades. I had a baby pink formal dress for goodness sake. How much more girl-y do I want to get?
I think the point I'm trying to make is is that you can make something look amazing no matter what colour it is. This post is a dedication and proof that you can make black look amazing. Whether it's one accessory, your nail colour or your whole outfit.
This could help you if you're the opposite and don't usually play it safe.
Oh, and yesterday I wore pink ;)
